Without hesitation we proclaim our role model is Jesus. When asked what is most important, he said: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." And there’s more: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
After Jesus was crucified on the cross, he arose from death and met his eleven remaining disciples on a mountain. They worshipped him, and he said:
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (from the Good News according to the Apostle Matthew, chapters 22 and 28)
