Enduring presence.

Very early in Newton's history, when the town was wild and wooly, a brave Methodist pastor walked into the Golden Rule Saloon, preached a sermon and prayed. One of the cowboys insisted on passing around a hat. That was the beginning of our meeting together, one of the first congregations in town. We've been here ever since, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and his ability to reconcile us to his Father.

A spirit of inclusion.

As one of our families remembers, their two young sons came running back to them at the end of their first morning with us. "We like it here," they exclaimed. "Even the older folks are friendly!"
